He is currently working on a number of projects in health including an evaluation of an Integrated Care Programme for people with dementia, an analysis of early intervention programmes for psychosis, and a cost of illness study on heart failure.

He has designed most of the CPD modules that are worldwide accredited, in relation to patient handling. These include Moving the Heavier Person, Single Carer Management, Car Transfers, Lifting People from the Floor, Hoisting and Slings, Moving within the Bed, etc.
He lecturers all over Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
Hakan trains all types of clinical staff, and trains at every level from care assistants to the military. Different lectures include assisting aggressive/heavy/confused patients, etc in every conceivable setting from the home to theatre.
He is responsible for designing a huge range of products for the last 20 years with Bjorn Ross. (Bjorn was responsible for inventing many types of assistive patient handling devices such as Slide Sheets, One Way Slides, the Ross ReTurn, In Situ Bed Positioning Systems, etc). |
